Emerald Gaze

About the painting

Green eyes anchor a closely framed portrait. Light falls across the face while the dark background and swept-back hair give the head a clear silhouette.

The green accents continue in the patterned neckline, linking the sitter’s gaze to the lower edge of the composition. The restrained setting keeps attention on the expression and the small shifts of light across the skin.
